Note: All lessons take place at a downtown location such as a student's office, nearby coffee shop, or a private study room in the Chicago Public Library. These lessons focus on grammar practice and writing exercises personally tailored to meet your needs. The typical schedule for this course is a one-hour class that meets once or twice a week. Students usually reach their goals in 2 - 5 weeks. (for intermediate to advanced ESL and native speaker students) These lessons include work with presentations, business meetings, and writing skills for the business place, and can also focus on job interviews and professional resumes. A typical lesson is one hour and meets one to two times a week. The length of the course depends on the student's goals. (for intermediate to advanced ESL and native speaker students) These private lessons start with a pre-test assessment to determine areas that need improvement, then continue with with extensive, focused exercises designed to improve areas of weakness, with multiple test simulations to improve test-taking techniques and measure progress. In the first lesson, the instructor determines your exact pronunciation issues, and the lessons after that focus on improving stress, rhythm and pronunciation. These lessons meet one hour, three times a week. Typically it takes a student 9 - 12 hours of instruction for substantial improvement, and you are encouraged to record these lessons for further practice at home.. (for intermediate to advanced ESL students) These lessons meet for one to two hours, three to five days a week . After two weeks of intensive lessons, students are able to join in basic day-to-day conversation.
